At Frederick Pediatric Dentistry we stand for quality dentistry for the young patient in a relaxed, child-friendly environment as well as specialized orthodontic services for all ages.

Frederick Pediatric Dentistry — Gentle Dentistry For Your Family

When we first opened our doors in Frederick, Maryland — over 15 years ago — it was our mission to provide quality dentistry for the young patient in a relaxed, child-friendly environment. Our pediatric dentists now serve the special dental needs of infants through young adults, and our orthodontist cares for children through adults. We remain proud of the fact that we take the time necessary to help guide your family through the dental experience in the most gentle, soothing, individualized manner possible. Parents are always invited to accompany their children during care.

The Advantage of Collaborated Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics

We provide additional value for our patients by having orthodontic and pediatric dentistry specialists within one office. While each patient has an individualized treatment plan, our specialists personally collaborate and provide efficiencies in the patient’s comprehensive dental care. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child first visit an orthodontist for a consultation at age 7, and sometimes earlier.

Our orthodontic specialty services include include traditional metal braces, clear braces, Invisalign Teen® and Invisalign® and more.

Pediatric Special Needs Care And What We Offer

Children with special needs are welcome at Frederick Pediatric Dentistry. We do not utilize restraints. We believe in and practice comprehensive dental care that focuses on the emotional, developmental and/or physical needs of our patients, including those with special needs.

For children who may benefit from it, we offer various types of relaxation, including laughing gas, oral sedatives, and hospitalization at Frederick Memorial Hospital for those requiring general anesthesia.

Our practice has been evaluated for and received a Class 1 anesthesia permit from the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. These options for anesthesia and sedation eliminate the need for restraint devices.

Your Baby's First Pediatric Dentist Visit — What You Can Expect

Our specialists begin seeing babies as soon as their teeth begin to come in. The American Academy of Pediatrics (Pediatricians) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry strongly recommend that a child's first vist occur no later than 12 months of age. Our operatories have satellite television, so your child can relax watching their favorite cartoon show while undergoing treatment. Instead of a distracting "open" setting, we have chosen to exclusively use private rooms to care for our pediatric dental patients. We find that children are more comfortable when they are in their own soothing space with a family member by their side. Again, please remember that parents are always invited to accompany their children during treatment.

Our Patients Become Family

Our families come to us from not only Frederick and Hagerstown, Maryland, but also Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. We have seen and watched our patients grow from babies and toddlers to teenagers and young adults. Consider us your dental home for all your child's dental needs from birth through young adulthood, and for orthodontics for your entire family.
