Dr. Camacho was a total God-send when I needed a dentist for my children. My son had a terrifying experience elsewhere, and then I found the world of pediatric dentists. At Dr. Camacho’s office, children are the center, and the staff does everything they can to keep the environment fun and friendly — from TV’s and “sunglasses” in the exam room to great flavors for the fluoride. Dr. Camacho also makes an effort to keep all of his equipment very up-to-date to offer the best in reliability and comfort for the kids.

Dr. Camacho and Dr. Virts are absolutely wonderful. They explain everything they are doing to the kids and even use phrases that are kid friendly…like calling the mouth prop a tooth pillow so they understand it’s to rest on. The staff there are equally as great as the office itself. The kids love the tv’s and fish. And a funny side note…when the tooth fairy movie came out Dr. Camacho wore fairy wings when my daughter, who was anxious, would laugh and calmed her right down! If you need a pediatric dentist this is the place!

Dr. Camacho’s practice should be the model for all pediatric dentists. Practically everyone I know takes their children to Dr. Camacho. His staff is friendly and professional. His office is clean and bright. They play cartoons for the children to take their mind off being at the dentist. My kids love going there so much that they ask me between visits when they get to go back.

I have personally known Dr. Mike Virts for years and I can truly say that you will never find a more genuine and caring dentist. He is knowledgeable and down to earth. As a fellow dentist and delegate to the Maryland State Dental Association I have met many other dentists from all over the state and he is one that definitely stands out amongst his peers in both personality and skill in the field of pediatric dentistry. Nicest guy I ever met. He is a fantastic clinician with an innate sense of how to work with children.

Dr. Joe and his whole staff put kids first. The huge fish tanks, cartoons on plasma TVs, fun sunglasses, etc. show the commitment to children. The care is even better! The technicians and Dr. Joe have been wonderful with my children and have started them off without any of the fear typically associated with dentistry. Thanks!!

Dr. Mike has been my children’s dentist for years, and we highly recommend Dr. Mike! He is outstanding, professional and extremely kid-friendly. The office was very clean, and child- friendly as well. My girls love the fish in the ceiling and the cartoons playing in every room. My children actually get excited to go to the dentist?! I would recommend EVERYONE to take their children to Dr. Mike.

Went there today to have my 9 year old son’s teeth splinted…long story…the staff in this dentist’s office were terrific!!! He had Dr. Mike and Kendra and they made all of us so comfortable and made my son very comfortable. This office and it’s staff are so kid friendly that I have now changed dentists to them and will drive to Frederick everytime they need to go to the dentist, which is a decent distance on 70. Thank you Dr. Mike and Kendra, everyone was great!!!

Fantastic experience with my normally cranky 3 year old. Although we were skeptical as to whether we really needed a “Pediatric” dentist to do my daughter’s specialty work, I can not express how this dreaded experience was actually very PLEASANT! Dr. Joe was patient, gentle and had an excellent bedside demeanor for both nervous mom and scared child. I was encouraged to sit as close as I wanted, to watch and comfort. All of the child appropriate tools were explained and she was so comfortable we never heard a single complaint. She was rewarded with an incredible prize and we both left smiling. Excellent… we LOVE Dr. Joe! Many thanks!”

I just wanted to take a minute and thank the entire staff at the office for everything. My son is not the easiest patient to deal with, but everyone has always been so nice and helpful to us everytime we have been in. And with each visit it gets a little easier to take him. From calling and scheduling appointments, reminder calls/text/emails, insurance claims, checking in and out, and the actual appointment, we have always been very pleased. The ladies at the check in counter have always been very patient, and explain everything. We have an insurance that you guys do not participate with, and Kendall has always explained everything to us. She always has a smile on her face, and talks to my son to try and help make the visit easier. We have nothing but nice things to say about everyone in the office. I just wanted to say thank you again and let you know that we love coming there and have referred a lot of our friends and family memebers to you guys. [My son] did so much better this time, and only cried a little bit, and I thank your staff for being so patient, and genuinely nice to him. Thank you.

Normally most people do not like going to the dentist, but my kids actually can’t wait to go back!!! Wonderful staff! Dr. Camacho & Dr. Mike are wonderful with kids. The staff is as well and very organized! I hope you do continue with the iPad (paperless). It’s definitely the way to go.

My kids (now 9 and 7) have been going to Dr. Joe since 2005. We love this practice. The office was definitely designed with kids in mind. My kids love the flat screen TV’s, the special glasses so that they can watch their favorite show while lying down, the aquarium and especially the people. Dr. Joe and Dr. Mike are great! Both of my kids have had fillings and one had to have teeth extracted. Neither has developed a fear of dentists. Thanks so much!
