Dr. Joe obtained his bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. He completed his dental school training in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Camacho completed his Pediatric Dentistry residency program at Howard University College of Dentistry. He has had extensive training at Howard University Hospital, The Hospital for Sick Children, Children’s Hospital National Medical Center, and The District of Columbia General Hospital. He is currently on staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
He has been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Washington, Baltimore, and Frederick metropolitan area for over 31 years. He established Frederick Pediatric Dentistry in 1997. Dr. Camacho is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Frederick County Dental Society, of which he was the President for 2004-2005 and 2005-2006.
Dr. Camacho is also a consulting specialist to the Johns Hopkins Orofacial (Cleft Lip and Palate) Clinic, which meets in Hagerstown, Maryland twice a year.
Dr. Camacho has been married for 38 years to his wife, Martha, and they have a daughter, Martha Denise, 34, and a son, John Paul, 27.
