A Tribute to Dr. Joseph Camacho, Pediatric Dentist Emeritus and Founder of Frederick Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Joe Camacho, who retired in March of 2025, practiced pediatric dentistry in the Washington, Baltimore, and Frederick metropolitan area for nearly 40 years, helping change the lives of countless children and families. He and his wife, Martha, established Frederick Pediatric Dentistry in 1997, and their values and vision continue in the practice today. During his tenure, Dr. Camacho volunteered his time on both the membership and leadership levels of numerous professional dental organizations.In 1999, Dr. Camacho generously took Dr. Virts under his wing as a summer intern while he was in college. He continues to be a timeless mentor to Dr. Mike. At Frederick Pediatric Dentistry, we continue to celebrate the Camacho family and honor the foundation of individualized, gentle care that they established nearly 30 years ago.Dr. Joe and Martha have a daughter, Martha Denise, and a son, John Paul. In his free time, Dr. Joe loves working with computers, enjoys photography and music, and has a special passion for all things Star Wars!
