Pediatric Dentistry

Because we treat each child like our own, we’re driven to create a positive dental experience where each child feels comfortable, cared for, and at ease throughout their visit. We also specialize in treating children with special needs.

Comprehensive Pediatric
Dental Treatments

With an additional two years of specialized pediatric care beyond dental school, a board-certified pediatric dentist has the unique skills and training to recognize and treat infants through teenagers.

Preventive Dentistry

Healthful Smile Habits

As your child grows, we focus on prevention and education to ensure their smile remains healthy. Our goal is to help children learn and develop consistent oral hygiene habits.

Prophylaxis (Teeth Cleaning)

During their regular six-month appointment, your child will experience a gentle and thorough cleaning to help prevent cavities and promote overall oral health.

Dental Sealants

A plastic coating can be professionally applied to prevent cavities by sealing the chewing surfaces. Dental sealants are easy to apply and provide years of protection.

Fluoride Varnish

We use fluoride varnish to protect your tooth enamel as a means to slow down or stop tooth decay.

Dental Emergencies

If you are unsure if the dental concern your child is experiencing—such as pain, swelling, of bleeding—requires immediate attention, please call us.

Restorative Dentistry

Pediatric Crowns

To protect a decayed or damaged tooth, we offer pediatric crowns.

Tooth Extractions

When a tooth has decay, disease, trauma, or may impede normal oral development, we remove the tooth.

Tooth Colored Fillings

When necessary, we use composite fillings with a tooth-colored resin to fill in cavities. As a result, fillings blend in naturally.

Sedation Dentistry

We are one of only a select few pediatric dental practices in Maryland to have earned a Class 1 Sedation Permit.

Sedation dentistry is a specialized approach that uses medication to help your child relax during dental procedures. It is particularly beneficial for children who experience anxiety, fear, or discomfort related to dental visits. There are several levels of sedation that we can discuss with you to determine the best approach for your child.

Sedation options available:

  • Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)
  • Intravenous (IV) sedation

The primary goal of sedation dentistry is to make your child comfortable and allow us to give the best care we can.
